First International Summit on Policy, Technology and Investment: Entrepreneurship for a Zero Carbon Society

22-24 September 2008

The three day event "Entrepreneurship for a Zero Carbon Society", held at the Sidgwick Site at the University of Cambridge,  brought together international experts on climate change to present and listen to the latest areas of research.

The first days programme, entitled "Emerging Problems and Solutions", included discussions on the global context of the impending energy crisis and the major causes of global warming. Day two was themed as "Scaling-up Lower Carbon Solutions", and investigated the role of entrepreneurial, venture capital and corporate participation in developing low carbon solutions. Day three was entitled "Investing in Solutions, a Way Forward" and concluded the event by exploring the responsibilities which corporations, academics and policy makers face in educating and engaging the public with regards to low carbon technology.
