Eleventh Grove Fuel Cell Symposium - Building on Fuel Cells.

In order to meet their carbon emission commitments, governments are now beginning to introduce legislation in order to stimulate a market for clean and renewable technologies. This has the potential to dramatically change the nature of fuel cell markets. To date the environmental benefits of the technology have long been understood, however the commercial case has been much harder to make, both at the investor level and from the perspective of the potential user. This lack of market pull has been a major reason why fuel cell technology has not yet found its way into mass markets. New legislation is changing that position and the role of legislators, planners and strategists is now of increasing importance to the fuel cell community.

The " Eleventh Grove Fuel Cell Symposium - Building on Fuel Cells" will address this changing world and its potential impact upon the fuel cell industry. The Symposium is being held at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Westminster, London on 22-24 September 2009. It is being organised by Elsevier Ltd.

The Symposium will be divided into a series of "Themes":

The session on "Hydrogen and Fuel Technology" is being chaired by Professor Gary Acres, a member of the new UK-SHEC Advisory Group.
