Leading Hydrogen Researchers Meet at Glamorgan`s Hydrogen Centre

The 2nd Biannual EPSRC SUPERGEN Sustainable Hydrogen Energy Consortium Workshop (1st-3rd July 2009) was held at the University of Glamorgan`s Hydrogen Research and Demonstration Centre at Baglan Energy Park.

Hydrogen_groupThe Hydrogen Centre was an ideal backdrop to the workshop as it demonstrates sustainable hydrogen technology in practice and the role hydrogen can play in delivering the low carbon economy. Presentations were heard not only from researchers based at the University of Glamorgan but also from the other consortium partners, the Universities of Bath, Birmingham, Glasgow, Kings College, Nottingham, Oxford, Queen Mary, Rutherford Appleton (STFC) and Salford. Key note lectures were also presented by Professor Andreas Zuttel, EMPA Materials Sciences and Technology, Switzerland and Dr David Hart, E4Tech Ltd. On the final day a workshop for 30 early stage researchers was held with a number of tours of the facilities at the Hydrogen Centre
