Air products launches UK's first mobile dual pressure hydrogen refuelling station

London, UK 9 July 2010 - Today sees further advancements in the UK’s hydrogen refuelling infrastructure as Air Products announces plans to install the country’s first mobile hydrogen fuelling station with dual-pressure fuelling capability. It will also be the UK’s only mobile hydrogen station capable of refuelling buses.

This milestone project will be an important next step as the potential for a UK hydrogen economy moves ever closer: the station’s 700-bar hydrogen fuelling capability is pivotal in attracting demonstrations of vehicles. This is because many of the major automotive manufacturer’s vehicles now store hydrogen at this higher pressure to enable them to achieve greater range between refuellings.
