UK-SHEC Phase 2: July 2007 to June 2012

In July 2007 the UK-SHEC Consortium was awarded a further £5.97M  funding from EPSRC to continue and further extend the initial work started during UK-SHEC Phase 1. The Consortium has now increased in size and consists of 17 research teams at 12 institutions. Please select the UK-SHEC Phase 2 Consortium link to see the institutions involved in Phase 2.

The worked commenced in July 2007 and will continue for a period of 60 months.

UK-SHEC Phase 2 is divided into two linked elements, CORE and PLUS. The CORE element comprises of work packages that extend and further link activities that were initiated in UK-SHEC Phase 1. The PLUS element consists of work packages that expand the scope and depth of existing activities. It includes new partners and will enhance and develop the CORE element.

The CORE and PLUS elements are organised into 5 linked themes:

  1. Theme 1: Hydrogen Production;
  2. Theme 2: Hydrogen Storage;
  3. Theme 3: Integrated Systems;
  4. Theme 4: Demand, Innovation, Deliberation and Sustainability; and
  5. Theme 5: Management.

The following table provides an overall summary of the workpackages that will be undertaken in Phase 2.
